Varsity and JV Volleyball Teams Lose to Patrick County & Bassett

The Chatham Varsity and JV volleyball teams played Patrick County and Bassett last week.

Varsity lost against Patrick County in three of the four sets: 16-25 in the first set; 25-22 in the second; 15-25 in the third, and 13-25 in the fourth.

Senior Madison Satterfield had one kill, one ace, and 10 digs. Senior Paige Nixon had two kills and two blocks. Senior Carterbeth Cassell had four kills, one ace, four digs, and one assist. Senior Haley Murugason had six kills, three blocks, two aces, and two digs. Junior Nicole Emerson had four digs and 20 assists. Junior Michelela Willis had six kills, five blocks, and one ace. Sophomore Braylen Heath had two digs. Freshman Alanee Gregory had two kills, two aces, and six digs.

The Lady Cavs had another game last week against Bassett at home.

Varsity lost all three sets 10-25; 18-25; 19-25.

Murugason had eight kills, one block, three aces, and one assist. Satterfield had one kill, one ace, and eight digs. Cassell had two kills, and 13 digs. Emerson had one kill, seven digs, and 14 assists. Junior Taylor White had two kills, and nine digs. Willis had one kill, and one dig. Gregory had five digs.

JV lost both of their games against Patrick County and Bassett.

The first game was 18-25 in the first set and 20-25 in the second.

The Bassett game was close with 22-25 in the first and 23-25 in the second set.
