2023 “Loving Local” Calendar Available for Purchase

Loving Local Calendar by non-profit group, Chatham First.

The brand new Chatham First calendar for 2023 is “Loving Local.”

The calendar, a fundraiser by the nonprofit, is published annually since 2007.

There are 120 photos in the calendar this year as opposed to an average of 40 photos previously.

The calendar is $10 and can be purchased at Commonwealth Pharmacy, Callands Coffee, and M & W Flower Shop.

January photos include restaurants such as Steaks Seafood and More, Hunt & Co. Restaurant, El Cazador, JT’s on the Main, and Frank’s Pizza.

February photos include the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex Events, roses, and snow.

March photos consist of the M & W Flower Shop, Studio 29 Salon, and an old photo of a gas station.

April photos include the Welcome Center, the Chatham Community Herb Garden, Monarch Waystation, trees, and flowers.

May photos include Young Life PittCo, a book sale, a library, and children playing.

June photos include Chatham Animal Clinic, Kids at a pool, the CoolBus, and a turtle.

July photos include the Tomato Festival at Yates Cavern, sunflowers, and American flags.

August photos include Moses Mill Farm and Veggie Shack, and FarmHouse Butchery.

September photos consist of “Back to School” Pittsylvania County Community action and “It takes a village” New Hope AME, a flyer for a Back to School Stop the Violence Rally, and the front of Chatham High School.

October photos include Chatham Concert Series and Chatham Presbyterian Organ Concert, and The HomePlace Vineyard.

November photos consist of Pittsylvania Historical Society Events such as; a sign that says welcome with lemons on it, lemons by a window, and people outside.

December photos consist of Christmas in Historic Chatham such as; candles, marching, choir, and the Christmas lights.

The calendar is published by sponsors who contribute $250 each. That money and purchases all raise about $10,000 used to complete projects that boost the Town of Chatham.  Sponsors each get a video production posted on Facebook and still Facebook posts.
