Student Spotlight: Virginia Burton

This week’s Student Spotlight is freshman Virginia Burton.

“My favorite thing about high school is seeing my friends; it’s what gets me through school,” said Burton.

“I enjoy doing aerial acrobatics outside of school, which is a form of trapeze and lyra,” she said.

“I have two dogs: a golden retriever, Winston, and a chocolate lab, Bear,” said Burton.

Burton’s hobbies are drawing, listening to music, and aerial acrobatics.

“My favorite teachers that I have ever had were Mrs. Webster and Mr. Newman, whom I had at the middle school, because they had fun with their students,” she said.

“My favorite subject is math, because it is easy once you figure it out,” said Burton.

“The thing that inspires me the most is music and aerial acrobatics, because they are such creative outlets,” said Burton. “What motivates me the most is other people and aerial, because they both make me want to be more active,” she said.

“After high school, I want to go to college, of course, and end up hopefully having my dream job, which is to become a professional athlete,” said Burton.
