The Cavaliers overall went down hill in week four with few successes.

The most noted success was Varsity football player Hunter Furr breaking the record for single season receiving yards with 446 yards.

The golf team traveled to Falling River Golf Course in Appomattox on Sept. 11 to play against Appomattox. The Cavaliers won 158-174. Jacob Holley shot a 38, Matthew Arnold shot a 40, Grant Reynolds shot a 42, and Thomas Rogers shot a 56.

They also played Sept. 13 at Hat Creek to face off against William Campbell and Dan River. Chatham shot a 170, William Campbell shot a 184, and Dan River shot a 192. Matt Arnold shot a 38, Jacob Holley shot a 39, Grant Reynolds shot a 46, and Tanner Merricks shot a 47.

Junior Varsity traveled to Gretna on Sept. 11 and won both sets. Brianne Conner had six kills, Katie Moore had 15 assists and five kills, Bailey Oakes had six kills, and Bailey Calhoun had 10 digs.

The Varsity Volleyball’s team winning streak was broken at Gretna by losing three sets: 23-25, 19-25, 27-29.

Junior Varsity’s winning streak was broken when they traveled to Appomattox on Sept. 13th. Varsity also lost in four sets: 16-25, 23-25, 25-23, 18-25.

The Chatham Cavaliers took on the Tunstall Trojans at home on Sept. 14th. Tunstall came off with the win 49-20.

Ethan Reynolds went 18-40 with 322 passing yards and two touchdown passes. He was also the leading rusher with 18 carriers for 29 yards. Hunter Furr had six catches for 139 yards and one touchdown.  Jacob Pickeral had four catches for 58 yards and one touchdown.

On defense Bradley Giles led in most tackles with 16, Hunter Furr had 14 tackles, and Trevor Crowder had 13 tackles.

Ethan Reynolds has 897 passing yards over his past four games; in his past two games he has 320 passing yards.
