Chatham High School has a new guidance counselor.

Mrs. Rosemarie Linn is the new guidance counselor at CHS. She replaced Jessica Gardner who is now the assistant principal/athletic director at Dan River High School.

Mrs. Linn is so grateful to be here.

“The best thing is being a part of Pittsylvania County Schools; being a part of the CHS faculty has been an wonderful experience. The students are awesome and respectful. The worst thing is the stress of making sure everything is perfect for testing as testing coordinator,” she said.

Before coming to Chatham, she worked as a guidance counselor in other schools, grades k-12, and she was a supervisor of South Carolina State Department of Mental Health.

She attended Averett University for her bachelor’s degree in BSA Administration, University of Lynchburg for her Master’s of Education in Counseling. Presently she is working on a doctorate of education in counseling psychology at Argosy University.

Mrs. Linn is a wife and mother of three children. Two of her daughters are in college, and her son is an eleventh grader at Galileo High School in Danville.

“I wanted to have a professional occupation that would allow me to have time for my family. Being an educator has allowed me a nice balance of family and work life,” she said.
