CHS Basketball recently held tryouts for Varsity and Junior Varsity for the upcoming season.

Charity Wilson,  JV girls player last year, said, “I feel confident about this upcoming season. Our team is going to bring the championship back home.”

The Varsity boys team feels excited about the coming season because last year they came so close to winning the championship.

Former varsity boys player Jojo Hanks is confident. “I promise we are going bring the championship home; it belongs to us.”

The following students that made boys’ varsity are Zae Edmunds, Steven Taylor, Nick Williams, NJ Sutphin, Deavion Epps, Trent Walker, Tyshun Mingle, Tanner Merricks, Josiah Hanks Bryan Argueta, Ethan Reynolds, Shane Hunt, Danell Hendricks, and Bradley Giles.

Boys JV players are as follows: Isiah Harris, Tyheim Hanks, Kaleb Morne, Brandon Snead, Ethan Ceddis, Daylone Conley, Terrel Fitzgerald, Xavier Craft, Jonathan Keatts, Donvan Garlen, Chance Briggs, Kendall Saunders, Micah Robertson, Kobe Hufman, and Koryane Payne.

The following students made girls varsity: Nysheia Miller, Quanadra Tunstall, Keslee Hyton, Tori Roark, Charity Wilson, Kanani Jones. Nijueray Giggetts, and Sade Morrison.

Girls junior varsity players are Trinity Brooks, Duchees Edmonds, Ariana Petty, Kiera Price, Jaliyah Word, and Tiara Fitzgerald.

Practices have already started.
