Chatham High School’s varsity football team has three All Region football players.

Hunter Furr is a first team All Region wide receiver leading the region in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns. Ethan Reyonolds is a second team All Region quarterback with the most completions and second most passing touchdowns in the region. Tyshun Mingle is a second team All Region wide receiver having 30 catches for 310 yards, four touchdowns, 251 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns.

The Cavs also had some All District players as well.

Quarterback, Ethan Reynolds and wide receiver, Hunter Furr, were named first team All District players. Ja’Ron Barksdale, Caleb Oakes, Nick Williams, all lineman; and Tyshun Mingle were named second team All District players. Honorable Mentions include linebackers Kamden Lewis and Bradley Giles. Tyshun Mingle was named defensive All Purpose player.

Basketball season is here and the Lady Cavs are starting off strong.

JV beat Bassett 25-10. 8th grader Dutches Rodgers scored 17 of those points. Varsity also beat Bassett 58-29. Nijueray Giggetts scored 22 points, Charity Wilson scored 12 points, and Nysheya Miller scored 11 points.

Caleb Wright placed 11th at the cross country state meet and was named a part of the All State team. Caroline Broomell also competed at States and set a new personal record.

Middle Hitter for Chatham High’s volleyball team, Emerson Scollo signed with William Peace University in Raleigh, North Carolina to continue her volleyball career.
