Chatham Varsity Football team won against Tunstall 26-30.

First quarter 0-0, second 0-3, third 13-16, fourth 26-30.

Zae Edmunds, who plays for offense and defense, injured his knee in the first quarter and stayed out. He went back in during the third quarter and scored a touchdown thrown by Quaterback Ethan Reynolds.

Michael Gunnell’s third touchdown of the evening gave his team the lead for good, at 30-26 with the kick, with one minute, 18 seconds to play.

“We need to punch a hole in them and get as many guys to the second level as we can and drive the ball,” Potts explained.

“Both teams they’ve played have had success with sustained drives, and that’s not exactly been our strength this year. It’s something we’re going to have to do better this week if we want to stay with them.”
