Fun Fall Festivities!

There are many fun activities in our area to celebrate fall and October.

The weather is supposed to change to cool for the first time this weekend. The leaves are just beginning to change, and Halloween is right around the corner.

White Fall Farm, 6135 Riceville Road, Gretna, will open Fri., Oct. 4, pumpkin hunts, hayrides, and and an end-of-day bonfire.  See http://whitefallfarm.com for more information.

Halloween open houses are posting information. 43 Nightmares is located on 1955 Birch Creek Rd, Keeling, VA. The attraction runs from 7 PM to 11 PM and is guaranteed to give you a real spook! The price for admission is $15. See their website 43nightmares.com for more information.

Owen Farm Tours, 1668 Silver Creek Rd, Danville, will host activities each weekend this month. Corn mazes, pony rides, and pumpkin picking are consistently popular. The price for admission is $8 for adults, $10 for children 2 and up, and free admission for kids under the age of 2. The Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office will host their annual Trunk or Treat Halloween event on Oct. 26 at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex in Chatham from 4-8 PM. More information will be released about the event as it gets closer.
