Longwood FBLA Trip
CHS Staff and students of the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) met for a statewide meeting at Longwood University in Farmville recently.
The purpose of the meeting was to explain the importance of the FBLA and how it helps the future of people in business.
“This is business, so the tone of the meeting was very serious but also a fun experience as well,” said Jenna Oliver, senior.
Students had the opportunity to tour the campus and see how students live their day to day lives at Longwood University.
Many students found that the Longwood campus was full of friendly people and beautiful scenery.
“The campus was small but interesting,” said Layla Jones, FBLA member.
Everyone ate at the university’s dining hall and explored the different choices at the buffet that was provided to the students. Pizza, fries, steak, shrimp, grilled cheese were among the choices. Different fruits like cantaloupe, strawberries, watermelon, and honeydew were offered. The ice cream bar was fabulous.
“The food served was really good,” said Alyssa Nelson.
