CHS PE teacher Daniel Rogers opened up a gym recently in Tightsqueeze Shopping Center.

The gym is located between Food Lion and United Rubber Workers Federal Credit Union. Membership fees are $30 and $25 a year.  The gym is open 24/7, and clients use a key card to open the door when they have a membership.

Personal trainers are provided at the gym; appointments must be scheduled. Most of the personal trainers are also certified dietitians.

The gym has lots of exercise equipment including Life Fitness and Hammer Strength equipment.

Students under the age of 18 will require a parent’s permission to join the gym. Those who are 18 or older just pay the fees and you are welcome.

Coach Rogers said, “I have always wanted to open up a gym. I am at a point in my life now where I want to take the risk and finally follow my dream.” Rogers is a former body builder. He and his wife, Mary Beth, have a little daughter, Claire.
