Cavaliers Basketball
The Cavaliers had a complicated week, Feb. 3-7, in basketball.
The girls basketball team played against Nelson County Tue., Feb. 4. The team lost by 15 points with a final score of 70-55. There were no stand-out players for this game.
The girls beat Appomattox on Fri., Feb. 7, with a final score of 60-48. The stand-outs of the game were Quanandra Tunstall, who made a double, double, 13 rebounds, and seven steals; Nysheia Miller made 21 points, seven assists, seven rebounds, and five steals; Charity Wilson made six points, eight rebounds, and four steals; and Keslee Hylton made four points and seven rebounds.
At the end of the week, the girls basketball team was 16-4 overall.
The JV boys basketball team won against Appomattox on Tue., Feb. 4, with a final score of 59-49. The stars of the game were Terrell Fitzgerald, who made 25 points; and Jonavan Coles made 16 points.
The JV boys lost against Nelson County on Fri., Feb. 7, with a final score of 59-58. Jonavan Coles made 20 points, and Terrell Fitzgerald made 13 points.
