CMM Light in the Dark Walk

The Cavalier Minds Matter (CMM) group is hosting a walk for suicide prevention Fri., March 6, at 6-8 PM, at the track below the football field.

The Light in the Dark Walk is for suicide prevention and awareness.  Anyone is allowed to come to the track to show their support by walking for as long as they’d like.

Bojangles, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Subway are catering the event. God’s Pit Crew has provided bottled water. Refreshments are free. Donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention are encouraged but not required.

Mardi Gras bead necklaces are being passed out with certain colors for the people who have lost a loved one to suicide.

The CMM group at CHS is for students who would like to come to meetings to talk about what’s on their minds and to be listened to by people who care. The group is available for anyone who wants to join, and its main purpose is to show that the students are heard, and that they are all important.

This walk is the first big event that the Cavalier Minds Matter group has done. All interested people are encouraged to attend.
