Seasonal Fall Foods

Many families are excited to start the fall season by preparing seasonal homemade foods.

The number one comfort food for many during the fall season is pumpkin and sweet potato dishes.

Starbucks famously rolls out their pumpkin spice lattes and delicacies during this time of year. Kota Amos, sophomore, says “The pumpkin spice latte tastes like fall to me; I usually treat myself to one a week every fall, and then I switch to the peppermint mocha latte for the Christmas holidays.”

Many people love this time of year because of the yummy treats like pumpkin, apple, and pecan pies that are very popular as the weather gets cooler and the days get shorter.

“My favorite fall food is pumpkin pie by  my mama who  makes it homemade,” said Miranda Young, senior.

Yashua Bridgeforth, senior, “My favorite fall food is the turkey is Thanksgiving; my grandmother slow-cooks it for a couple of days. Her gravy is so seasoned and delicious; I love it mash potatoes.”

“I really like tomato soup in the fall. My dad makes the best tomato soup ever, and he cooks me grilled cheese with it. The best,” says senior Aly Taylor.

During the holidays many families like to get creative especially for Halloween.
