Haunted Attractions

Haunted houses are popular in our area during the month of October.

The top two are located in Greensboro, NC, and Keeling, VA.

The two most common haunted houses near the area are 43 Nightmares in Keeling near the Ringgold Fire Department and the Woods of Terror in Greensboro.

This year many people are excited to go back to haunted houses because last year they were closed last year due to Covid restrictions.

Ginny Keatts, senior, says “43 Nightmares was scary,  and I didn’t like it; I am not excited to go back.”

Ramsey Ferrugia, junior, says, “The Woods of Terror was fun and pretty scary. I hope I can find time to go to one with some friends this year.”

Amanda Dalton, junior said, “Haunted houses were scary when I was really young and semi-scary but more fun when I was older. It was pretty thrilling. I probably will only go if I can go with friends and find a good one to go to.”

The Woods of Terror has the Blood House, Industrial Nightmare, and the Purge Anarchy plus many more. The haunted house is open through October 31. The admission per person is usually $25 and the parking fee is $5 per car. They are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:30 PM to 11 PM. The staff and members interact with the guests and try to make the experience the best they can.

43 Nightmares is one of the scariest and largest haunted attractions with live animals, realistic details, and staff so talented you will not know what’s real and what’s not. The ticket booth is open from 7 PM to 10:30 PM. Tickets are $13 online and $15 at the front door with a parking fee of $5. They are open every Friday and Saturday from 7 PM to 10:30 PM.
