Cavs Suffer a Tough Loss at Homecoming

Chatham Cavaliers Varsity Footbball suffered a defeat at the homecoming game Fri., Oct. 15.

In the first quarter William Campbell punched in a 5 yard run for a touchdown making the score 6-0.

That didn’t stop Chatham. Junior Dermont Kyle ran a 45 yard touchdown making the score 7-6.

In the second quarter, Senior David Hubbard had a force fumble giving Chatham the ball on the 20 yard line.

Senior Victor Hernandez made a 22 yard field goal now making the score 10-6.

Freshman Jaden Breedlove got a interception giving Chatham the ball on the 35 yard line.

Senior Chance Long ran a 65 yard touchdown making the score 17-6.

The homecoming ceremony was at halftime. Nyshiea Miller and Ceyon Panell, both seniors, won King and Queen. David Hubbard and Abigail Owen were prince and princess.

In the third quarter William Campbell, punched in two touchdowns. Junior Kendell Saunders scored a 58 yard touchdown making the score 24-17. In the fourth quarter William Campbell punched in two more scores making the final score 36-24.
