Chatham’s varsity football team faced the Tunstall Trojans at Tunstall on Sept. 15. The team suffered a loss with a score of 63-14.

Most members of the team were devastated with this loss.

“We could have played better but we gave up.” said Joseph Davis, junior, running back and linebacker.  “I believe that if all of the players had been healthy, we may have had a chance to win.”

The game was a major blowout and few thought that the team had a good attitude towards the game. Tony Whittle, senior,  defensive end and linebacker, said, “I wish people didn’t get hurt.”

In spite of a poor showing and brutal loss, some players chose Zae Edmunds, sophomore, wide receiver and free safety;  and Ben Burton, senior, defensive tackle and offensive lineman.
