Mask Mandate

The mask mandate has created a big impact on on students and teachers throughout Pittsylvania County Schools.

Most people think that people still wear their masks for their own protection.

“They still want to protect themselves from the risk of getting sick,” said Chloe Gay, a ninth grader.

“The majority of the people who wear their masks could be protecting the people around them and themselves.” said Abby Owen, a senior.

Others have chosen to not wear masks.

“Because they believe masks won’t help the spread of COVID.” said Destiney White, a ninth grader.

“People have their own beliefs and most people are vaccinated by now, and a lot of people don’t really care anymore” said Owen.

“Because we have been wearing them for so long and most people are vaccinated so they;re not as worried about getting sick anymore.” said Gay.
