Practices and Games Held over Spring Break

Student athletes practiced over spring break in order to stay in condition.

“Over break we are having as many soccer practices as we can with the team as a group,” said Victor Hernandez, senior. “Our practices are planned to be in the afternoon and practice an average of two hours. Maybe more,” Hernandez said. “While we aren’t practicing, I plan to watch soccer games, relax, and plan on how to get better at soccer.”

Baseball players didn’t stop for break either. “We plan to have practice on Monday and Tuesday; we also have a game on Wednesday against Appomattox,” said Colby Owen, senior. “Our practices will last from 2:00 to 5:30 on both days,” Owen said. “I don’t really have any plans over break since we have practice, but I will be relaxing when I get the chance.”

Girls’ sports practices were more sporadic. “We do not plan to have any [soccer] practices over break,” said Abigail Totten, sophomore. “My plans for break are to just stay at home, relax, and watch Bridgerton on Netflix.” Totten said, “I am kind of glad we were off this week because we got a chance to rest our bodies.”
