The leaked draft proposing the overthrow of Roe v Wade by the Supreme Court has had an impact on CHS students.

“I think abortion shouldn’t be a man’s choice to decide if it should be legal or not”, said Savannah Carlsen, senior. “I think the choice should be completely up to the woman because it’s our body our choice, someone, especially a man, should not be deciding that for us.”

“I think abortion should be legal because if its not legal people will just find unsafe ways to do it anyway. Making it against the law will just make people figure out unsafe ways to do it anyway which could end up killing the baby and the mother,” said Lizzie McAdams, senior. “Although no one wants a baby to die, sometimes the circumstances and how that child would live in the real world are even worse.”
