Chatham Varsity Baseball

The Chatham Varsity baseball team had two games this week: Gretna and William Campbell.

Monday the Cavaliers beat the Gretna Hawks by slaughter rule 11-1.

Austin Whitlow  started and pitched four innings; he gave up zero runs and had five strikeouts. Cody Walden was the relief pitcher and pitched the final inning.

Jake Moore went 3-3 with a double and five RBI’s; Cam Satterfield went 2-3 with a double; Alex Van Pelt went 2-3 with a home run.

Wednesday, Chatham beat William Campbell by slaughter rule 12-2.

Carrington Aaron, junior,  was the only pitcher of this game. He pitched five innings and had six strikeouts; Aaron gave up two hits: two runs and three walks.

Satterfield had one RBI and one walk; Aaron had three runs, one hit, 2 RBI’s, and two walks; Moore had one run, two hits, and one RBI; Zander Cornell had two hits; Henry Hurt had one run, two hits, and two RBI’s; Van Pelt and Dawson Newell both had one run, one hit, and one RBI; Kennen Lewis had three runs, two hits, one walk; Colby Owen had one run and one hit.

The Cavaliers next game is Friday, May 13, against Altavista at home.
