The Annual Spring Concert for Our CHS Choir
CHS Women’s Ensemble had their final performance for the semester on May 17.
The choir class performs an end of the year concert for parents and staff. The event allows the class to showcase their talent and to show how hard they have worked all year.
“This has been one of the best semesters I’ve ever had; I’ve made a lot of great friendships,“ Kaylin Sandridge, a junior, said. “It went amazing even though some people weren’t there; it was great, we all worked so hard on it,“ she said. “I will definitely miss this class because a lot of my friends are going to be graduating,“ Sandridge said.
“This class has really been such an amazing connection to singing and with friends,” Lauren Hankins, a senior, said. “I have made some great friends and had many opportunities to showcase my singing which I enjoyed a lot,” she said. “I really am gonna miss this class and Mrs. Matherly when I graduate,” Hankins said.
“This group of girls are truly amazing, and I am so proud of everything we have accomplished together in this short semester,” Mailthia Stroud, senior, said. “I’m so happy to be a part of this choir family and I wish them all the best,” she said.
“I absolutely loved the CHS Women’s Ensemble; they have worked hard and made me proud to be their choir director,” Mrs. Pamela Matherly, choir director, said. “The preparation was just like any preparation but these ladies worked hard and always kept me on my toes,” she said. “I will definitely miss this group of hard-working ladies, and I hope that some of them return,” Matherly said.
“To my seniors: thank you for not being afraid to sing out and be leaders,” Matherly said as a goodbye to her seniors. “Congratulations CHS Women’s Ensemble for an excellent concert; you made me so proud,” Matherly said.
