Texas Roadhouse has announced construction on their new Danville location will begin in May.

The restaurant chain has bought a plot of land by the mall, in between Aspen Dental and Starbucks.

The restaurant was first announced after eagle-eyed Danville residents spied a job listing for a general manager position on Indeed.

Construction will begin this spring and is expected to be finished in September or October, according to Texas Roadhouse.

“We are very excited about this location and believe the high traffic from Danville Mall and the upcoming casino expected to hit the area will provide a great space for our restaurant,” said Texas Roadhouse spokesperson, McKenzie DelVisco.

The news comes shortly after the closing of Red Lobster, one of the few chain restaurants Danville has.

It’s expected to bring between 200 jobs, with 60% being part time and 40% being full time.

Texas Roadhouse is popular for its Western vibe, hand-picked steaks, and their honey-butter bread rolls.
