Drivers Education Assembly
The Virginia Assembly recently passed a law that requires students to attend a program with their guardians.
The link to the requirement is here 90 minute.
If a student was not able to attend, they are able to go to another Pittsylvania County school’s assembly, as long as the guardian sign a form showing attendance.
This new requirement received mixed reviews.
“It was a waste of time,” said sophomore Katie Moore. “I passed this class last semester, so I figured I’d come anyway, but there was no point.”
“The things that were mentioned were things we already were learning in class anyway, so what was the point?” said sophomore Kayle Santiago.
“It was for sure not what I was expecting,” said sophomore Lane Burke. “It was, of course, boring, but it was also a little informative even though I already knew most of what was being said.”
