The new 2023 JV softball team has been selected.

The JV team includes: Megan Yeatts, freshman;  Morgan Yeatts, freshman; Abigail Custer, grade eight; Gabrielle Custer, grade eight; Amber Blevins, freshman; Kinslee Cassel, grade seven; Kylee Taylor, grade seven; Leah Oakes, grade seven; Marley Driggers, grade eight; Payton Roach, grade eight; Sophie Doss, grade eight; and Whitney Rigney, sophomore. The team is coached by Jason Cassel.

“Being on JV doesn’t mean you’re less of a player then others; it just means you are behind a little so having a role model to help you catch up is really beneficial,” said freshman Megan Yeatts.

“Every year I choose someone who works the hardest and stick with them and tell myself at the end of the season I want to be better than them or on the same level as them,” said a player of the varsity team.

“Being placed in a lower sport class doesn’t mean you’re a lower player than the others; it just means you are behind a little so having a role model to catch you up is beneficial,” said  Yeatts.
