The Drink Machines
Students at CHS are able to purchase drinks from the drink machines at 8:15 AM – 11:15 AM, and 1:45 PM – 3:07 PM.
The machines contain sugar-free soda, water, and sugar-free lemonade.
“I really don’t like that we only have sugar-free drinks,” said sophomore Gracie Hyler. “I like having sugar, and the sugar-free drinks aren’t as good compared to the regular ones, which is why I normally just get the water.”
“I don’t see the reason for it,” said freshman Kaitlyn Mcghee. “Sugar is supposed to make someone more hyper and awake anyway, so why do they not bring in sugary drinks to keep kids awake?”
There are students that agree that having sugar-free drinks is a good thing, but should be executed differently.
“I actually kinda like sugar-free drinks,” said sophomore Maddison Swanson.”They aren’t really much better for you, but I like the taste; it is weird though that they don’t have regular soda though in case someone doesn’t like it.”
“Sugar-free drinks aren’t that tasty, but I still prefer them over a normal soda,” said sophomore Rylee Shields.”I do think that we should have regular soda drinks; I mean you could just get water if you don’t like it, but it’s odd that even the lemonade is sugar-free.”
