Edmunds Makes It Big with the Bears

A Pittsylvania County man recently signed a $50 million contract with the Chicago Bears.

Tremaine Edmunds, a graduate of Dan River High School,  was the team’s biggest signing with a four-year deal worth $72 million with $50 million guaranteed.

For Edmunds, it is a very big deal  to uphold the Bears’ legacy as one of the best linebacker franchises.

“I think it is amazing that someone from the rural area of Pittsylvania County could grow up to the highest paid linebackers in NFL history,” said Tyler Hoffman, senior.

“It’s crazy to think he was playing on a football field just a couple miles from Chatham High School, and now he is playing in massive stadiums for the NFL,” said Colin Lester, senior.
