Student Spotlight: Jayla Millner

This week’s Student Spotlight is freshman Jayla Millner.

“My favorite part of high school is all of the learning opportunities, like the social aspect and the fact that we are on a set schedule,” said Millner.

“Mrs. Riley is my favorite teacher because I always feel productive in her class,” she said.

Millner said that her favorite things to do outside of school are to go roller skating, listening to music, and baking cookies.

“Beyonce inspires me the most because she can do anything that she puts her mind to,” said Millner.

“When I graduate, I want to go to Longwood University and become a photographer,” she said.

Millner’s hobbies are singing and painting.

“I love cats! When I was little I went to an animal shelter and saw a cat, and immediately fell in love with it,” said Millner.

“The thing that motivates me the most is the knowledge that I can achieve any goal if I try hard enough,” she said.
