High School Sports

High school sports are an important part of student life.

They provide a way for students to stay active, learn teamwork, and develop leadership skills.

“High school sports provide students with an opportunity to stay active and healthy. By participating in sports, students are able to develop their physical fitness and improve their overall health. High school sports are important; they could change a kid’s life,” said sophomore Cora Liggon.

“Playing sports can provide students with an opportunity to improve their mental health. By participating in sports, students are able to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Some students can have rough patches at home and being able to distract themselves for two to three hours a day really helps,” said freshman Sydney Scarce.

“Being involved in sports can also help students get into college. Colleges and universities often look for students who have participated in sports and other extracurricular activities,” said junior Trinity Custer.
