Chatham beats William Campbell

Chatham Softball Varsity Girls beat William Campbell twice in one night; the teams caught up on games they missed.

Chatham won the first game 8-3. Freshman Sydney Scarce had two RBIs.  Nicole Emerson, junior,  leads with two hits. Emerson,  Cora Liggon, sophomore, and Anna Whitlow, junior, all had a RBI. Liggon gets a win in the circle striking out ten batters in five innings.

“The game was amazing. The team played really well,” said Scarce.

“I feel like the team is coming together really nicely,” said Liggion

For the second game, Chatham won 9-3. Whitlow leads chatham with two RIBs following with Scarce, sophomore Hedi Tosh, and Liggion finish with two hits each. Tosh, Liggon, and Meagan Yeatts, freshman,  each had a RBI each. Trinity Custer, junior,  got a win on the mound by striking out four and only giving up three runs and one earned run.

“We played well as a team and we won,”s aid Tosh.

“Playing two games in one night was eventful, but everyone did their part and we came out with both wins,” said Whitlow.
