Couples delight in going on romantic dates with their significant others.
“I love spending time together with my boyfriend and giving each other gifts,” said junior Norah Linn. “Our favorite food that we like to eat together is pizza; he enjoys Domino’s for some reason. My boyfriend’s idea of romance is giving me compliments, like saying ‘You’re smart,’ ‘You’re pretty.’ He always tends to say ‘I love you.’”
Opinions of what comprises a date night vary.
“When my girlfriend and I were still together, we liked going out to a nice restaurant, maybe to get Japanese or Chinese food,” said junior Logan Perry. “We usually went to the movies, went shopping, or took a fun trip.”
“He gave me compliments; he said ‘You’re cute,’ he also said ‘I love you’ on numerous occasions,” said Logan Perry’s former girlfriend. “He was such a romantic guy through his acts of kindness towards me.”
Couples can be sophisticated with plans for date night.
“We like having a nice candle lit dinner with soft music and conversation,” said the aunt and uncle of one of our reporters. “We also like walking and holding hands. For dinner, we either have surf and turf, which is red meat and combined seafood, or baked potatoes and salad.”
