The annual Powder Puff Football is set for Wed., Nov. 8, at 6:30 p.m., at the CHS football field.
Danville Pittsylvania Cancer will benefit from funds raised by this game.
The school’s National Beta Club is hosting the event.
Powderpuff football is an entertaining competition when guys and girls switch roles for the game.
The girls play flag-football, while the male students are showcased on the sidelines as cheerleaders.
The freshmen and sophomore team is the Firecrackers, while the junior and senior team is the Her-Ricanes.
Tickets are $5 each or five cans of donated food.
This year’s coaches are varsity football players: Jack Reece, junior; William Anderson, senior; Ben Williams, senior; Cole Oakes, senior; Ethan Riley, freshman; Matthew Falls, sophomore; and Nathan Paris, sophomore. Referees are the CHS coaches.
T-shirts to show your support are available for purchase on a first come first serve basis from Mrs. Rachel Corwin, English department, Room F205, and are $15 a piece.
