Thanksgiving is all about the food.
Students are very opinionated when it comes to their favorite Thanksgiving side dish.
“My favorite side dish is cranberries because they taste good; they’re sour but also sweet,” Mykaela Logan freshman, said.
“I think my favorite is mac and cheese because I love to eat cheese on everything,” Dynashia Epps, freshman, said.
Students seem to dislike dishes containing vegetables the most.
“I really don’t like [sweet] potatoes with marshmallows on top. They’re too sweet, and that makes them disgusting,” Logan said.
“My least favorite is probably peas; I don’t like them because of the weird texture,” Epps said.
A survey from Statisda.com states that mashed potatoes are the most popular dish amongst the Americans they surveyed. Stuffing takes second, third place is dinner rolls, gravy is in fourth place, and fifth place is cranberry sauce.
The same survey from Statista says that some of the lower ranking sides are green bean casserole in sixth place; roasted vegetables at seventh place; macaroni and cheese at eighth; and traditional dinner salad in last place.
