Students are excited to start their new classes for the upcoming semester.
“I think the class I’m most excited for is Algebra II because it’s the first math class I will have taken that doesn’t have an SOL,” Mykaela Logan, freshman, said.
“I’m really looking forward to concert band because it’s going to be my first concert assessment because there’s not one in middle school,” Vik Ince, freshman, said.
“I can’t wait for P.E. because it’s a class where you don’t have to sit down the entire time,” Dynashia Epps, freshman, said.
“The class I’m anticipating the most is English because I’m excited for all the books we’re going to read,” Karlee Sims, freshman, said.
While students are very excited for some of their classes there’s also some that they’re not looking forward to.
“I’m not really looking forward to Spanish I because learning a foreign language seems hard because I can barely speak English,” Logan said.
“I really don’t want to take AlgebraII because it kind of scares me because I don’t know what to expect,” Ince said.
“I’m not excited for geometry because it’s math and that’s not my strongest subject,” Epps said.
“The class I’m least anticipating is Spanish because I can barely speak English, so how am I supposed to speak Spanish?” Sims said.
