Parking spaces at CHS are no longer assigned to individual teachers or students because the numbers are illegible.
Many students are unhappy with the new rules.
“I don’t really like not having an assigned parking spot,” Hannah Wilson, senior, said. “The only good thing that comes from it, is that people are getting to school earlier to get the parking spots they want.”
“I have been parking in the same spot since I started driving to school. I don’t like that people can park there whenever,” Autumn Cassell, senior, said. “I think eventually it might lead to people arguing and fighting over parking spots.”
“I don’t think the new rules are a big deal. I like having the freedom to park wherever,” Mary Ross, senior, said. “It encourages students to get here early, and it is less confusing for new drivers. The only bad thing I can see coming from this is people arguing over “their” spots.”
“It isn’t a huge deal, but I would rather have my own assigned parking spot every morning so I don’t have to rush and get here in the morning,” Madison Swanson, senior, said. ” One good thing that comes from this is that students don’t have to worry about parking in someone else’s parking spot, and it is less confusing.”
