The new parking rules have caused trouble for student drivers and faculty members.
“I do not like the new parking rules,” Pat Riley, business teacher, said. “I dislike it a lot searching for a parking spot. When we had assigned spots, everyone knew where to go. I think bad feedback will get back to the school board, so people can voice their concerns. I don’t think this will become a fixed problem; people will get used to it, if they like it or not.”
“No, I am not satisfied with the new parking lot rules,” Kayleigh Harmon, senior, said. “I absolutely think this will become a problem, because someone will get mad that someone took their parking spot. I think this will be changed after people start fighting over a parking space.”
“I think it’s going to cause issues in the future; people will start to get upset that underclassmen will take their spots,” Kayleigh Lautenbach, senior, said. ” People will get upset when people take their parking spots; I don’t think this problem will be resolved unless they do assigned spots again.”
“I don’t have any thoughts, it is what it is,” Adam Tate, business teacher, said. “In the grand scene of everything, everyone has to park their car; everyone has to come into the building to teach and learn. The only problem I can think of is if people start to park in the bus routes.”
“I think everyone should have assigned parking,” Semiyah Royal, senior, said. “I think if we pay $30 we should have a reserved parking spot. If the school can’t do their part, we can’t do ours. If the school can’t make sure that no one is taking our parking spot there is going to be an issue in the parking lot.”
