Chatham’s cross country team ran its second meet this month here.
The runners prepped hard beforehand.
Runners of the team set goals to improve individually and achieved great times.
“I’m trying to do better and hope to get great times… like maybe under 20 minutes; I would quit right now, but I’m not a quitter,” said Colin Bisson, junior. “I do not like it.”
Some runners want to improve their overall fitness.
“Not being injured and staying strong in general,” said Liam Robertson, freshman.
Some students are extremely competitive and are focused solely on being the best.
“I want to be physically more capable than others,” said Jaime Semintal, senior.
Teammates are an important part of some runner’s motivation.
“My team keeps me motivated, as well as my goals feeling more in reach, after every race,” Parker Boon, junior.
