“Atlas,” a recent sci-fi movie rated PG-13, and directed by Brad Peyton was a compelling and enthralling watch.
The movie follows the journey of a brilliant data analyst with a deep distrust of AI, who’s forced to confront this fear when it may be her only chance of survival.
Atlas Shepherd, the film’s protagonist, is forced to ally with a friendly AI dubbed “Smith” in hopes of completing the mission and subsequently returning home.
The renegade robot, Harlan, is eventually subdued, and Atlas is able to avenge her mother–a victim of ‘Harlan’–and complete the mission after several close-calls and brilliant battles with rogue AI soldiers, she returns home, where she’s promoted and reunited with her AI companion.
The film was captivating; it felt as though one could fight alongside the rangers and AI soldiers because of the brilliant use of effects and CGI.
I highly recommend watching this movie if you’re looking for a story full of emotion and action.
This movie can be found and watched on Netflix, a popular streaming service.
