This BBQ Sauce Meatballs recipe was suggested to me by Mrs. Janet Bishop, English department, because Mr. Whitt Farr, English department, makes this yummy recipe for teachers’ special occasions.
BBQ Sauce Meatballs
Ingredients:
1 bag of Italian style meatballs (about 52)
40 oz Honey BBQ sauce (I used Jack Daniel’s; the recipe calls for Sweet Baby Ray’s)
1 cup grape jelly
1/4 tsp. Adobo powder
1/4 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
1/4 tsp seasoning salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
To Make:
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place meatballs in an aluminum tray. Combine the Adobo, lemon pepper seasoning, seasoning salt, onion powder, and garlic powder in a small bowl. Evenly sprinkle the seasonings over the meatballs. Mix well. Place the tray in the oven for 20 minutes. In a separate bowl, combine the BBQ sauce and the grape jelly, and mix well. Remove the meatballs from the oven and coat the meatballs with the combined BBQ sauce and grape jelly. Once coated, place the meatballs in the oven for another 20 minutes. Then remove meatballs and sprinkle some parsley on top for a garnish. Enjoy!
