My family’s annual trip to Emerald Isle is one of the best ways anyone could spend Thanksgiving.
We spent our days in a rental, beachfront house with two stories. The majority of my family spent our time on the upper floor, where there was a kitchen. We cooked most of our food there, including a large, seafood boil that acted as our Thanksgiving meal.
When we weren’t in the rental, we were out on the beach either walking or fishing. My grandpa especially enjoyed the latter.
We spent the rest of the time eating out, shopping, and visiting attractions, such as Go Karts and Putt-Putt.
On our final day at Emerald Isle my family spent time shopping and visiting with each other.
It was a great week, and I miss Emerald Isle and want to return already. I highly recommend anyone try this unconventional way of celebrating Thanksgiving, because it has become my favorite part of every year.
