Best Chocolate Chip Cookies:
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate
To Make:
Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, add the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Whisk vigorously for 1-2 minutes until it turns into a paste-like consistency. Add the egg and vanilla to the butter and sugars. Whisk until smooth. Fold in the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Once almost combined, add in the chocolate chips, and fold in the chocolate chips. Do not over mix the batter. Scoop the batter onto the cookie sheet using a spoon to your desired size, and bake for 12-15 minutes (for smaller cookies, bake for 10-12 minutes). Once the cookies have a golden ring on the edge and are puffed in the center, they are finished baking. When the cookies are finished baking, remove the cookies from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool for about 20 minutes. (If there is leftover dough simply repeat the baking process.) Enjoy!
