Students are very excited about Christmas and the gifts that come with it.
“I’m very excited about Christmas,” Johanna Witcher, senior, said. “I want some money and Beat headphones.”
“Christmas is my favorite time of year,” Kallie Beck, senior, said. “I would love to be gifted some gift cards from Chick-fil-a.”
“I’ve never been more excited about Christmas like I am now,” Kajayla Giggetts, junior said. “I’m hoping to receive a pink Apple iPad.”
“I’m not really in the Christmas spirit this year,” Ameyea Murphy, senior, said. “I would honestly be grateful just to get some clothes and shoes.”
Students also have a favorite food they like to eat on Christmas Day.
“Christmas is all about the food for me,” Shara Clark, junior, said. “My favorite thing to eat on Christmas is curry chicken.”
“Christmas kind of reminds me of Thanksgiving dinner,” Jaden Breedlove, senior, said. “I like to eat stuffing and turkey.”
“My family comes together every year and makes a big feast,” Anardia Harris, senior, said. “Mac and cheese is my favorite dish from our big feast.”
“I tend to help my mom out on Christmas Eve making food,” X’ence Rodgers, senior, said. “My favorite thing to eat on Christmas is honey ham.”
Other students find different things appealing about Christmas.
“My favorite thing to do on Christmas is watch Christmas movies with my family,” Kallie Beck, said. “One of our favorite movies to watch together is the ‘Polar Express’.”
“My family and I set up the Christmas tree together; it’s our favorite thing to do,” Witcher, said. “This year we’re decorating our tree with pink and silver ornaments.”
“I like to wrap Christmas gifts with my family,” Giggetts said. “I have younger siblings so my mom could use the help when it comes to wrapping their presents.”
