Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies

Chocolate Thumbprint cookies are a perfect Christmas treat.

The ingredients for making these cookies are common elements in most people’s pantries.
Usually bakers mix dry ingredients into wet ones.
Before putting them in the oven, the cookies are rolled into even portions.
To finish off the cookies, the chocolate ganache is put in the middle of each cookie.
The finished cookies are pretty and taste amazing.

 

Cookies

1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 cocoa powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking powder

3/4 cup unsalted butter

3/4 cup light brown sugar

1/4 cup white granulated sugar

2 egg yolks

1 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste or extract

Chocolate Ganache

1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
