“Elf” is a delightful, classic Christmas movie following the adventures of Buddy the Elf as he attempts to find out where he fits in the world.
Despite being human, Buddy is raised in the North Pole as an over-sized elf. He doesn’t quite fit in with the rest of the elves, though, and, unable to shake the feeling that he doesn’t belong, he travels to New York in search of his biological family.
Buddy meets his biological father there, who begrudgingly attempts to bond with him after a DNA test confirms their relations. Gradually, Buddy forms valuable friendships and relationships in New York, eventually leading to the conclusion of the movie–where the over-sized elf’s influence is enough to save Christmas.
This movie is adorable and easily puts anyone of any age group in the Christmas spirit. I highly recommend watching it if you’re looking for a festive film to enjoy with a cup of hot chocolate this holiday season.
