Students everywhere feel the pressure of homework and other school related tasks.
Many students feel as though we have been given too much work to complete in a short amount of time.
Many students participate in after school activities such as a sport, a job, or even taking care of siblings after school.
Because of the workload that we are given, we sometimes do not have nearly enough time to complete our daily tasks.
“It depends on the teacher with how much work is assigned,” Johanna Witcher, senior, said. “Some teachers give a ton of work that is due, and we are not given a lot of time.”
“Teachers should be understanding when it comes to the workload they are giving students; they should be more understanding when students complain and are unhappy with the amount of time they are given to complete their work,” Tracee Saunders, senior, said.
“I feel like sometimes it’s not enough time to complete the work teachers give us, and they should limit the work they give students,” Destiney White, senior, said.
“I am sympathetic about a heavy workload,” Mrs. Janet Bishop, English department, said. “However, I see students misuse the class time that they are given to do the work, and then they panic when they get to the deadline. So, work hard in class! Get as much done at school as you can.”
