Galileo Magnet School recently performed the dramatic comedy, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (Revised) (Again).
The play contains a recounting of all of Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets in a 95 minute time frame.
The performance required all sorts of participation by members of the theatre group.
Sixteen-year-old Anna Shadrick was stage manager and light operator.
“I was in charge of the cast and crew, and I made sure everything was in its right place,” she said. “I told other crew members their cues due to the lack of sound in the booth. I was also the ticket person.”
Due to inclement weather, complications occurred when preparing for the play.
“We had so much bad weather that rehearsals were very sparse,” Shadrick said. “We also got no dress rehearsal due to the weather, which is kind of important.”

Complications occurred during the play as well.
“The lights weren’t working beforehand, our cues were wrong, and the projections wouldn’t turn on,” Shadrick said.
“It was fun,” she said. “I got closer with some people and got to make new friends. It was stressful as well, due to the aforementioned issues.”
