The amount of sleep that most students get is not enough to focus on their school work.
Most students do not get adequate sleep.
“I get over six to seven hours of sleep every night for school,” Kadence Collins, freshman, said “I honestly think I don’t get enough sleep at night for school. Even if I go to sleep earlier, I don’t have enough sleep. I sometimes can’t focus on school work throughout the day because I get stressed, and I’m too tired to do anything.”
“I go to bed too late; I go to bed around 12 or one. That’s five or six hours of sleep every night for school,” Bree Hennessy, freshman, said “I haven’t been feeling like I’ve been getting enough sleep because of the time change. The time change has ruined a bunch of people’s sleeping schedules. I do well in school, I focus and get all of my work done.”
Some students try hard to get enough rest.
“I get enough sleep at night. I go to bed at eight every night for school. That’s 10 hours of sleep” Marlie Riley, freshman, said. “I usually get bored around 7:30 p.m. so I lie down and watch TikTok until eight, and then I go to bed. I focus a lot in school because of how much sleep I get I would personally say.”
“I have no idea if sleep affects the way you focus,” Riley Thompson, freshman, said. “My sleep schedule is all over the place. I go to bed at eight, nine, 10, 11, 12 and sometimes even one or two. Very random times. I sometimes focus when I don’t get enough sleep, and I sometimes also don’t focus when I get enough sleep.”
