Skincare routines depend on a person’s skin type and sensitivity.
Skin types vary, and it’s important to understand your own to tailor your skincare routine effectively.
“I have a sensitive, and hyperpigmentation skin type,” Zaniah Bridgeforth, junior, said.
“I have very oily skin in my T-zone, but other than that it’s very dry,” Ma’Khayiah Hairston, sophomore, said.
Different products work for different skin types.
“Cetaphil, Dial soap, sunscreen, EOS lotion, and Vaseline works for my skin,” Bridgeforth, said.
“Anything that doesn’t have glycolic acid in it because I’m allergic to it,” Hairston, said.
Individual skin care needs vary, so everyone’s routine should depend on their unique skin type and concerns.
“I wash my face with baby soap, then after I ice my face,” Alyssa King, sophomore, said. ” Also I use CeraVe, and Vaseline.”
“When I get into the shower, I wash my face with turmeric black soap,” Hairston, said. “After my shower I ice my face, and put on my Elf moisturizing soap.”
People approach acne care and skincare differently, with different methods and routines working best for individuals.

“I’ve noticed after putting Vaseline on my face it has helped,” Hairston, said.
“I make sure that I wash my face every night, and I drink plenty of water,” King said.
Sunscreen is a crucial product that protects from sun damage.
“I use La Roche-Posay SPF cream,” Hairston said.
“I use SPF 100,” Kennedy Hanks, senior, said.
