The best gaming console debate has faced off since the release of the first Xbox and PlayStation.
It seems that no one can agree over what is a passionate topic.
“PlayStation clears Xbox and Nintendo by a lot,” Lane Burke, senior, said. “While I enjoy a lot of the things Nintendo produces, PlayStation just creates better consoles. The PS5 has multiple versions to suit different people’s preferences and a lot more exclusive games and content than Xbox’s. I seriously think if anyone is considering buying a gaming console for the first time, they should go with a PlayStation.”
“I like Xbox’s the most,” Olivia Smotherman, freshman, said. “I grew up with an Xbox 360, and now I have an Xbox One that I play games and watch YouTube on. All the Xboxes we’ve owned have lasted a long time and have run all the games we’ve wanted to play really well. I remember a few instances of our old Xbox One lagging in the past, but I think that’s bound to happen to any gaming console with age.”
“PlayStations are the best, for sure,” Harley Emerson, freshman, said. “Xbox’s were too confusing for me growing up, with the different buttons and controls on the remotes and all. I always preferred playing games on my old PS4.”
Others prefer to use different methods of gaming entirely.
“If you want me to be honest, I don’t really use either,” Jaden Farris, junior, said. “The only time I might is when I go over to my friend’s house and play with them on their Xbox. If I’m just by myself at home, though, I use my PC for gaming. A lot of the games exclusive to consoles can normally be found on there, anyway. PCs are kind of all-encompassing. l think they’re the best option, really.”
“I actually prefer PCs for gaming,” Kennedy Hanks, senior, said. “I had a PS4, but I don’t use it much anymore since it’s really old and the graphics have become kinda pixelated. I just think computers are better, honestly. Most games are cheaper there and you can get mods for them. In my experience, they run better than older consoles, too.”
