Students have all different kinds of activities after school that they do in their spare time.
Some students hangout with other classmates, go to work, or just go home to catch up on the assignments that were assigned on that school day.
The school does limit many friends from not being able to talk to them.
Although students have different class schedules and different lunches, they often do see their friends during the school day.
“Sometimes I have jazz band, hangout with my friends, and then go to the gym,” Susannah Wilkinson, senior, said. “I like to hangout with my friends because school schedules sometimes limit us from seeing and talking to each other.”
Most students need jobs after school either for spending money or to save for something bigger.
“I go to work right after school because I like to spend money and to be able to meet new people,” Madison Brown, senior, said. “One of my requirements for my job is to be social to the people that come into the store where I work.”
“I have a job because I need to put it towards my college fund,” said the senior. “It helps me pay for things that scholarships do not cover.”
Many students like to be a part of sports to meet new people. Students find happiness in working their bodies to make themselves feel better.
Some students have been playing their sport for their whole life, and they cannot imagine not doing playing and participating.
“I go to dance after school,” Savannah Morris, senior, said. “I am in dance because I get to meet new people that go to surrounding schools that I would have not met without dancing, and I have a joy to dance because I get to escape reality.”
“I have been dancing for 13 years, and I cannot imagine not dancing,” Savannah Morris, senior, said. “I need to be doing something all the time because I can’t sit at the house all day without doing something and it keeps me healthy.”
